Today we have been doing some more work on Handa's Surprise.
For early morning work we had to decorate and make a small hut like the one Handa lives in! We looked at African huts and how they were decorated with beautiful patterns.
1PM made an African hillside with their huts.
1LJ made a sandy African village with wild animals!
Then we painted with mud and decorated our role play corner to make a mud hut.
For literacy we wrote riddles about fruit from Handa's surprise. "It has yelllow skin." Can you guess what it is?

We published our riddles in our neatest handwriting! We were very proud of them.
